Extension of the FIA shutdown, Renault Sport Racing is maintaining the measures put in place at its two sites, Viry-Châtillon in France and Enstone in the United Kingdom.
While the pandemic continues to affect the population worldwide and the economic and sporting parties, a return of some activities is being considered, but it is already acknowledged that the Formula 1 season will not start before July at the earliest. The sport governing bodies, as well as the teams, have therefore decided to extend the shutdown:
For four additional weeks for the teams;
For two additional weeks for the engine suppliers.
For Renault DP World F1 Team, this means the shutdown will end on May 31st for its Enstone site and May 17th for its Viry-Châtillon base.
The measures introduced and announced on April 10th during the first shutdown extension continue to apply for all Renault Sport Racing staff.
Information will be communicated later on how to resume activity with the same concern for the health and safety of our personnel, while ensuring the competitiveness of our team.
