It’s not often that we see wonderful light such as this at a Grand Prix, it’s usually reserved for the final minutes of winter testing. However, Melbourne’s beautiful Albert Park was bathed in sunshine for this year’s race weekend, and this golden sunset during Q2 on Saturday evening gave us photographers something to play with.
This shot is captured on the inside of turn 6, as the drivers sweep through the fast chicane. By aiming the lens directly towards the sun and exposing for the highlights, you silhouette the car, whilst keeping the detail of the sponsors and Nico’s race number on the nose.
A nice sunset shot to start the season.
