Picture Perfect : Singapore Grand Prix

The magical Singapore skyline provides the backdrop to the illuminated track that snakes its way around this tight and twisty circuit through the centre of the city. This scenic image is captured from the ’Singapore Flyer’ sightseeing big-wheel. As a photographer it is quite a unique feeling to be boarding the big-wheel as Qualifying starts. You have to time your trip to ensure that you are at the top of the wheel as the action on track is happening beneath you. This photo is captured by pressing the lens to the glass of the capsule and by using a wide angle lens to shoot the illuminated ’Singapore’ logo on the roof of the pit building as the R.S.17 passes around turn three.
